Swan Bites is our weekly College bulletin for parents and carers – it is published every Thursday.
We welcome any feedback or comments via: enquiries@swanmore-sec.hants.sch.uk
Thank you to all parents and carers for your understanding and support during this week's early closures due to the severely hot weather.
We are pleased to confirm that the College will return to its normal timetable from tomorrow, Friday, 26 June.
Pupils may continue to wear their PE kit tomorrow and are strongly encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to help them stay hydrated throughout the day. We will continue to take sensible precautions throughout the day, including ensuring regular access to drinking water, making use of shaded areas where possible, and adapting activities as necessary.
With the warm weather set to continue this weekend, many families may be spending time at the beach, rivers, lakes or other open water. Sadly, periods of hot weather often see an increase in water-related incidents, making it a good time to remind children of some simple but potentially lifesaving advice.
The RNLI's Respect the Water campaign encourages everyone to:
Please take a few moments to discuss these important messages with your child before heading out this weekend. You can find more water safety advice by visiting the RNLI website.

Please note that both the KS3 Art Club and KS4 GCSE Drop in scheduled for today, 25 June 2026, have been cancelled.

Parents and carers are asked to help their child select their Enrichment Activity choices for the Autumn term. An email with full details was sent last week on Friday, 19 June 2026.
📅 Deadline for selections: 09:00 Monday, 06 July 2026
You can view the full list of available activities here:

As we begin to prepare for the new academic year, we would be very grateful for donations of any school items that are no longer needed and remain in good condition.
We are particularly looking for:

Donated items help us support families across our College community and ensure pupils have access to the equipment and uniform they need.
If you have any items you would like to donate, please drop them off at Main Reception.
Thank you for your support.
