Recent and regular opportunities include the biennial Iceland trip, Belgium Battlefields visit, ski trips, theatre trips and museum visits. Swan Life Press is also one of the ways pupils can contribute to the wider voice of the College, helping to celebrate achievements, share stories and reflect what it means to be part of the Swanmore community.

Wellbeing, Inclusion and SEND

At Swanmore College, we believe pupils achieve their best when they feel safe, supported and valued. Pastoral care is at the heart of our community, helping every young person develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of belonging.

Transition to Year 7

Moving from primary school to secondary school is an exciting milestone and an important step in a young person's educational journey.

At Swanmore College, we are committed to making this transition as smooth, positive and enjoyable as possible.

We understand that pupils and families may feel both excited and nervous about starting secondary school. Our transition programme is designed to help pupils build confidence, become familiar with their new surroundings and develop positive relationships before they begin Year 7.

During Year 6, pupils will have the opportunity to visit the College, meet staff and learn more about life at Swanmore. We work closely with primary schools and families to ensure that we understand each pupil as an individual and can provide the support they need from the very beginning.
