Year 8 (2): In what ways was the Great War a World War?​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Overview

Pupils investigate whether Great War should really be called a World War, using overviews, local soldiers controbution and viewing the war through the lense of empire too. Was this really a world war, or rather a European War fought by soldiers from around the world?

The main UN Rights of a Child covered are 38. Protection in war.
