Swan Bites is our weekly college bulletin for parents/carers – it is published every Thursday.
We welcome any feedback or comments via: enquiries@swanmore-sec.hants.sch.uk

Pupils are invited to join our Sparx Science and Maths Drop-In Homework Club in M11 at lunchtimes Monday to Thursday. This is a great opportunity to improve your Science and Maths skills, get support with homework, and build confidence in class.
Pupils can earn up to 5 ICCs for attendance and excellent effort. All are welcome!
We value pupils developing strong habits of independent work and revision and will be rewarding this by increasing the number of ICCs awarded for completion of weekly Sparx homework; 100%= 5 ICCs, 70 - 99% = 3 ICCs and 1 - 69% = 1 ICC. Pupils can then enjoy redeeming their ICCs in the reward shop.
Please be aware that SCOPAY have scheduled a planned upgrade to their ePayments service. As a result, ePayments will be unavailable between 9:00am and 5:00pm on Monday, 16 February 2026.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and recommend making any urgent payments outside of this time where possible.
We have noticed that some pupils are gradually beginning to push the boundaries of our uniform requirements and mobile phone rules. After half-term we will be having a focus on both items. We have made some minor adjustments following our annual Pupil Voice Survey, which was carried out at the end of the Autumn Term. Therefore, could we please ask you to remind your children of our expectations, including the following:
Uniform
Mobile Phones
Pupils may collect their mobile phone at the end of the day.
Following the half-term break next week, Swanmore College will be closed to pupils on Monday, 23 February for a Professional Day. Our staff will be using the day for training and planning to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing. 📚💛
We look forward to welcoming pupils back on Tuesday, 24 February.
