Year 8 (2): In what ways was the Great War a World War?​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Overview

Pupils investigate whether Great War should really be called a World War, using overviews, local soldiers contributions and viewing the war through the lens of Empire too. Was this really a world war, or rather a European War fought by soldiers from around the world?
