Exploring future pathways at Swanmore's Careers Fair

Pupils and families explored post-16 education, training and career opportunities with representatives from colleges, universities and employers.
Careers Fair inspires future possibilities
Swanmore College welcomed a wide range of colleges, universities, training providers and employers on Thursday, 8 October 2026, for its Careers Fair, giving Year 10 and Year 11 pupils and their families the opportunity to explore the many pathways available beyond secondary school.

The event brought together representatives from further education colleges, sixth forms and universities, alongside employers and industry professionals from sectors including construction, engineering, finance, science, public services and the armed forces.

Throughout the event, pupils and their families were able to speak directly with exhibitors, ask questions and find out more about different qualifications, training routes and career opportunities. From academic and vocational courses to apprenticeships and employment pathways, the fair offered valuable insights into the range of possibilities available.

The Careers Fair forms part of the College's wider careers education programme, helping pupils make informed decisions about their next steps and encouraging them to explore their interests, ambitions and future aspirations.

Thank you to our exhibitors
We are extremely grateful to all the organisations who generously gave their time to attend, share their expertise and offer advice to our pupils and families.

Our thanks also go to the pupils and families who attended and engaged so thoughtfully with the exhibitors, making the most of the opportunity to explore their future options.

Finally, a special thank you to Mr Valentine and Mrs Francis for their hard work in organising the event and bringing together such a diverse range of exhibitors to make the Careers Fair a success.
