NHS Virtual Allied Healthcare Work Experience
This is a valuable opportunity for pupils to explore healthcare careers, gaining real-world insights and strengthen university and apprenticeship applications. The next session will be on Sunday 02 November from 08:30 to 17:00. It will focus on a Road Traffic Collision. Cost of virtual work experience day is £10 per person.

SETA Engineering Apprenticeship Jobs Fair – Tuesday 10 February 2026 5-7pm
This event is aimed at Year 11 pupils as well as college and Uni leavers. Arrival time is either 5pm or 6pm at SETA Apprenticeship Centre, Millbrook, Southampton SO15 0LJ.
All employers will have vacancies for starting in September 2026.

Steve Willis Training Centres – Apprenticeship Open Days
For pupils interested in careers in the gas, plumbing or electrical industry. Steve Willis is running 3 different level 3 apprenticeships in Gas Engineering Operative, Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician and Installation and Maintenance Electrician. Steve Willis Training Centres are holding apprenticeship open days at their Portchester site on:

College Open Days
Sparsholt college – Year 11/10
Sparsholt College are holding their next open event on Saturday 08 November 2025 from 10am to 1pm. This is aimed at Year 11 pupils. If interested, please book your places as soon as possible as some of the tours are already fully booked.
Year 10 pupils – Open events are available in February, March, and June 2026.

Unifrog - Parent support sessions
Unifrog hold many free masterclasses aimed at pupils or parents. We have highlighted a couple of these online sessions which are being held for free between now and end of December.
How to support during apprenticeship applications
On Tuesday 11 November 2025 at 17:30 Unifrog will be hosting a masterclass for parents and carers. Gain tips to guide and encourage your child every step of the way and feel more confident in helping them navigate this important stage in their career journey. It should last 45 minutes.
