We started September by welcoming pupils back to site, including our new Year 7 pupils as they began their Swanmore journey. Over the first two weeks, pupils have been settling back into College life, getting to know new teachers and timetables and starting their learning for the year ahead.

Last week, we welcomed Year 7 parents and carers to our Meet the Tutor Evening, giving families the opportunity to meet their child’s tutor and learn more about life at Swanmore. We were delighted to see so many families joining us and getting involved, asking questions, meeting staff and finding out more about the year ahead. It was a great way to continue welcoming our new Year 7 community to Swanmore and build those important connections between home and College.

Our Enrichment programme for the new term began in earnest last Wednesday, with pupils getting involved in a wide range of activities and opportunities beyond their usual lessons. Enrichment is an important part of life at Swanmore, giving pupils the chance to explore their interests, try something new, develop their skills and spend time with others who share their enthusiasm.

Sport is also back, with our first fixtures of the new academic year taking place this week. We are looking forward to seeing pupils back out representing Swanmore and wish all of our teams the best of luck as the new season begins.

There is lots more to come over the weeks ahead, both in and beyond the classroom. From fixtures and enrichment to events, activities and opportunities across the College, we are looking forward to another busy year and to sharing plenty of highlights along the way.

The 2026 to 2027 academic year is well and truly underway. Welcome back, Swanmore!
