Art & Technology Technician
32.5 hours per week – term time only (39 weeks)
Mon-Fri 8.30am-3.30pm (30 mins lunch)
Salary: - HCC Grade C FTE £25,186 - £26,244 Actual £18,924 - £19,719
This is an exciting opportunity to work with both our Art and Technology departments, providing support both in the classroom and administratively.
The successful candidate will support both departments by:
- Preparing and setting up classroom equipment, teaching materials and resources
- Remaining on standby in the classroom to support teachers and assist with materials and demonstrations when needed
- Clearing away and cleaning equipment and materials at the end of the lesson
- Overseeing the maintenance and care of stock in both departments
- Monitoring and ordering stock, ensuring equipment and materials are available when needed
- Photocopying resources as required
We are looking for someone who is friendly, flexible and approachable, and has the ability to use the various items of machinery and equipment in both departments (CAD/CAM, workshop tools and equipment, kilns, sewing machines, camera/lighting maintenance – training will be provided). A large part of this role will be based in the classroom, assisting teachers and pupils.
