We have been informed about additional overnight roadworks and traffic management measures as part of the ongoing improvements to the A32 Wickham Road and Broadway Roundabout layout.

The works are required to connect the new road layout to the existing carriageway, support construction on the southbound lanes and carry out drainage works on the M27 westbound off slip road.

Overnight closures and traffic management will affect the area between Knowle Roundabout and North Hill Roundabout, including the M27 Junction 10 eastbound on slip (towards Portsmouth) and westbound off slip (towards Wickham).

Confirmed overnight closures

The following overnight full closures of the A32 in both directions will take place between 8:00pm and 6:00am:

• Thursday 14, Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026

The closure on Thursday, 14 May has been added as an additional date.

During these overnight works, the following routes will be affected:

• A32 Wickham Road northbound (towards Wickham)
• A32 Wickham Road southbound (towards Fareham)
• M27 Junction 10 eastbound on slip (towards Portsmouth)
• M27 Junction 10 westbound off slip (towards Wickham)

Additional overnight traffic management

Further overnight traffic management will also take place on:

• Monday, 18 May 2026

Between 8:00pm and 6:00am, two-way temporary traffic lights will operate on the A32, alongside overnight closures of the M27 Junction 10 eastbound on slip and westbound off-slip roads.

Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place during all overnight closures and traffic management periods.

Construction work continues as part of the wider project to deliver the new road layout at Broadway Roundabout and the A32 Wickham Road area.
