Get Inspired Portsmouth - Careers Visit

A group of our Year 7 and Year 8 pupils recently visited the Portsmouth Guildhall for a morning of career exploration and hands-on discovery at the 'Get Inspired' event.

Discovering New Paths

A group of 14 Year 7 and Year 8 students enjoyed a fantastic morning at Get Inspired Portsmouth, an interactive careers event organised by EBP South at the Portsmouth Guildhall.

A pupil stands indoors wearing a full police riot gear uniform, including a heavy black tactical vest with "POLICE" written on the front and a blue helmet with a clear plastic visor. The pupil is smiling at the camera

During the visit, pupils explored a wide range of employer stands, took part in hands-on activities, and spoke directly with professionals from different industries. The event helped our pupils broaden their understanding of local career opportunities, training routes, and the skills needed for the future.

It was great to see pupils engaging confidently, asking thoughtful questions, and enjoying the chance to explore pathways they may not have considered before. This experience is part of our commitment at the College to ensure our learners are prepared for life after school and have the vital tools to thrive as emerging independent adults.

A big thank you to EBP South, the employers who volunteered their time, and the staff at the College who supported the visit.
