Another busy week of fixtures for our sporting superstars!

Fixture Results

Year 7 Girls Football

Our Year 7 Girls Football team travelled to Kings School in Winchester for a District League fixture. The girls played well and worked hard in very difficult rainy and muddy conditions. Unfortunately, Kings School won the match, but the team can be proud of their efforts, and it was a good experience for the team. Well done girls.

Year 9 Sportshall Athletics

A mixed group of pupils stand indoors in a sports hall wearing dark sports kit. Athletics equipment, including a yellow and blue crash mat, is positioned in front of them.

On Wednesday, our Year 9 athletes participated in another round of Sportshall Athletics, as we hosted Perins School from Alresford. Pupils competed in throwing, jumping and sprint races to gain points for their School. Our pupils performed really well, with both our boys team and girls team finishing overall winners. Well done to all our athletes. A great job 🙌🏻 The event would not have been possible though, without our Year 10 Sports Leaders who recorded scores for all the events, a massive thank you and well done to Luca, Levi, Lola, Neev, Emilia, Fran and Hilton

Year 9 Boys Football

Our Year 9 Boys Football team travelled to The Mountbatten School in Romsey on Wednesday afternoon for a District Cup game. In what was a good game against the Cup holders, our boys played fantastically well winning 3-0! Goal scorers for Swanmore were David, Alfie and Ali. Well done boys, a massive result!

U16 Boys Basketball

Our Under 16 Boys Basketball team were back in action this week in a league game against Westgate on Tuesday. The team came up against very good opposition and fell to a 60-38 defeat. Their winning run comes to an end.

Pupil Shout Out

A shout-out to former Swanmore College pupil Robyn, who is now part of the Rugby England U18 Player development group! It’s great when we hear that former pupils are excelling in sport. Well done Robyn.
