Another busy week of sport at Swanmore saw pupils competing with determination, teamwork and pride. Here are this week’s highlights.

Double Victory for out Under 16 Boys Basketball team!

Our U16 Boys Basketball team enjoyed a highly successful week of league action, securing two impressive victories on the road. Their first fixture saw them travel to Upper Shirley High School in Southampton for a closely contested match. With very little separating the sides, our pupils showed great composure to take control of the fourth quarter and secure a 39-34 win. The momentum continued later in the week as the team travelled to Bitterne Park School. In another competitive display of teamwork and skill, the boys maintained their winning form to finish 35-31. These results are a testament to the hard work and spirit of our pupils, making it two wins from two games. Well done to everyone involved for representing the College so brilliantly.

Twelve pupils are wearing navy blue long-sleeved Swanmore Sport tops and black shorts, while one pupil in the centre wears a bright yellow goalkeeper jersey with the number one. Tense Quarter-Final Ends in Shootout

Our Year 7 Boys Football Team hosted Purbrook Park in a highly competitive Hampshire Cup Quarter Final. In a tense, tactical encounter between two talented sides, the match remained deadlocked at 0-0. The game proceeded to a penalty shootout, where our pupils unfortunately lost 5-3. While it is a difficult way for this cup journey to conclude, the team should be incredibly proud of their impressive run in the competition.
