37 Hours per Week – Term Time only (39 weeks) Mon – Thurs 8:00am – 4:00pm Fri 8:00am – 3:30pm

HCC Grade C FTE £25,186 - £26,244 Actual £21,543.72 - £22,448.76

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Swanmore College to join our dynamic Pastoral Support Team as a Senior Administrative Assistant (Pastoral) starting as soon as possible.

We expect the highest standards of pupil behaviour and the successful applicant will assist the Pastoral Support Team in all aspects of our procedures.

The Senior Administrative Assistant (Pastoral) will undertake one of the following roles daily on a rota basis, alongside general administrative duties (please see the Role Profile for a full explanation of duties):

Reset Room

  • Manage the Reset Room, including signing pupils in and monitoring behaviour
  • Maintaining a positive and calm environment
  • Conducting restorative conversations with pupils
  • Escorting pupils back to lessons

Triage

  • Being the first point of contact for pupils arriving at Triage
  • Maintaining a positive and calm environment
  • Logging pupil Learning Hub behaviours
  • Updating registers for pupil attendance

Pupil Reception

  • Manage Pupil Reception, including signing pupils in and out of college
  • Maintaining a positive and calm environment
  • Locating and responding to “Missing Pupil” alerts
  • Organising Tutor wallets and PROUD cards
  • Arranging Detentions and monitoring missed detentions

Telephone & Administration

  • Answering and triaging external and internal telephone calls
  • Monitoring and triaging Year Group externally received emails
  • Running the Reward Store
  • Assisting with daily registers
  • Supporting with absence calls to parents/carers
