The final Thursday before the break was filled with energy, laughter and plenty of dancing as pupils from every year group took part in our Silent Disco reward event to celebrate their hard work and effort so far this year. From Year 7 through to Year 11, each year group had their own slot during the school day to head to the hall, put on their headphones and enjoy the music together.

They are wearing illuminated red headphones and casual clothing, posing for a photo while other pupils dance in the background under soft coloured lights. The day was also a non-uniform day, with pupils generously donating in support of three important charities: Mountbatten Hospice, the Courage Foundation and the Saints Foundation. It was wonderful to see our community come together not just to celebrate, but also to raise money for causes that make a real difference.

The atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic. Pupils were enthusiastic, respectful and fully embraced the experience, creating a brilliant sense of community. At a time of year that can sometimes feel long and gloomy, it was uplifting to see so much positivity and joy in one space.

Events like this remind us just how fortunate we are to have such a fantastic group of young people at Swanmore College. Their attitude and maturity made the day a real success and showed how much they value opportunities to celebrate together.

A huge well done to everyone involved in making it such a memorable finish to the half term!
