Administrative Assistant (Pastoral)

HCC Grade B £19,501.32 - £19,776.72 (FTE £22,737 - £23,058)
37 hours per week - term time only (39 weeks)
Monday to Thursday (8am to 4pm) and Friday (8am to 3.30pm)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Swanmore College to join our dynamic Pastoral Support Team as an Administrative Assistant starting in September 2024.

We expect the highest standards of pupil behaviour and the successful applicant will assist the Pastoral Support Team in all aspects of our procedures.

Pupils who fail to follow our Behaviour Policy will attend The Learning Hub and visit the Triage area to register their attendance. The Administrative Assistant (Pastoral) will be the first point of contact for pupils in Triage, updating records and providing communication to parents/carers.

The role will also provide administrative support such as:
- Supporting daily pupil absence administration
- Maintain pupil records in SIMS including attendance and behaviour
- Answer external and internal telephone calls
- Assist with the “Missing Pupil” alerts
- Support the Head of Years and Deputy Head of Years with filing/scanning
- Provide backup assistance, when required, to the medical team

The ability to manage a positive and calm environment for pupils along with having the confidence and ability to ensure pupils follow the College Behaviour Policy is essential.
