Rewards

Year 7

Year 7 pupils receive Positive Referrals for achievement and effort in lessons and for positive contributions in Tutor Time.  Collection of Positive Referrals lead to Certificates of Achievement awarded in Celebration Assemblies each term.  An evening awards ceremony is held for parents and pupils just before pupils move from Year 7 into their House group towards the ends of the summer term.

Year 8 to 11

Praise postcards are sent home for significant achievement and effort in lessons.  House raffle tickets are awarded for good citizenship in Tutor Time and House Praise postcards are sent home to all pupils who are consistently punctual, correctly dressed and well-organised throughout the term.

Celebration Assemblies are held termly and a draw for a prize is made from the House raffle tickets.  Each term a further draw is made from raffle tickets across the Houses for a Headteacher’s prize.

Sanctions

Code of Conduct

Sanctions are in the form of subject or House detentions which may be held at break.  After school detentions may be held after notice is given to parents.

More serious behavioural issues may be dealt with by a period of inclusion where pupils are isolated from other pupils for lessons and break and lunch-time.

Fixed term exclusions are used by the Headteacher for the most serious cases of poor behaviour.
