Year 9 Options

The time has arrived when the college needs you to make decisions regarding the courses your children are going to follow in Years 10 and 11.

Before you decide on the subjects that can be chosen, you need to know that all Key Stage 4 pupils are required to study:

  • English and English Literature
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Religious Education (non-exam, incorporating Citizenship)
  • Core PE (non-exam)
  • Personal Development Learning (non-exam)

As a specialist college of technology, our pupils must also study a Design and Technology subject. However, this will not apply if a pupil follows the diploma pathway or the vocational pathway.
