Welcome Back - MacArthur House!

2009 - 2010

Well, what a fantastic year 2008-2009 was! Each and every one of you pulled together to make it our best year together. Your hard work and enthusiasm culminated in MacArthur House winning both the House Song Challenge and the overall competition in true style. I know that everyone who attended the MacArthur Valedictory Gig had a brilliant time and would love to win all over again! Everyone should be extremely proud of our achievements.

So the challenge is on………Can we do it again? Of course we can!

Our new House Officials are ready to lead the bid to retain the top spot in 2009-2010.

As always, I was hugely impressed by the way so many members of MacArthur House put themselves forward for leadership roles at the start of this term. All six of our candidates for captaincy did themselves proud in the elections. Their speeches were assured and confident and outlined clearly their vision for MacArthur House. The votes were the closest they have ever been, which shows how strong all of the candidates were.

Well done and thank you! Mr John is very much looking forward to working with you to develop the house even further this year.

Last year we chose to support The Ellen MacArthur Trust as our charity and raised a magnificent £1743.60. Let’s continue with our brilliant fundraising efforts with a view to inviting Dame Ellen MacArthur in to one of our assemblies to collect our charity donation.

So……let’s get started on making 2009-2010 another fabulous year for MacArthur House!
