THE PARENTS
I/We will strive to:

• See that my child goes to college regularly, on time and properly equipped;
• Ensure my child wears the correct college uniform;
• Make sure that the college is made aware of any concerns or problems that might affect my child’s work or behaviour;
• Support the college code of conduct;
• Work with the college to resolve any issues concerning my child;
• Support my child in homework and other opportunities for home learning;
• Attend consultation evenings and discussions about my child’s progress;
• Monitor my child’s progress by consulting the pupil planner each week;
• Do my best to get to know about my child’s life at college.

THE COLLEGE
The College will make every effort to:

• Provide a balanced curriculum which meets the needs of your child;
• Ensure that your child strives to reach his/her potential, both academically and as a valued member of the college community;
• Help you child to develop as an active, caring and responsible member of the wider community;
• Care for your child’s safety and sense of well being;
• Deal with issues of bullying as a matter of urgency;
• Contact parents if there is a problem with attendance, punctuality or equipment;
• Let parents know about any concerns or problems that affect their child’s work or behaviour;
• let parents know about their child’s successes and achievements at college;
• listen to pupil concerns and respond appropriately;
• set, mark and monitor homework and keep parents informed of their child’s progress through the appropriate channels of communication;
• keep parents informed about college activities through regular newsletters and notices of special events;
• listen to parental concerns and discuss ways to resolve issues;
• encourage parents to take part in the life of the college;
• enrich pupil experience through extra curricular activities.

THE PUPIL
I shall do my best to:

• be polite, kind and helpful to others;
• attend college regularly and on time;
• bring the correct equipment every day;
• wear college uniform and be tidy in appearance;
• do all my classwork and homework to the best of my ability;
• tell if I am being bullied or if I see someone else being bullied;
• keep the college free from litter and graffiti;
• abide by the college code of conduct;
• keep my parents informed about my life at college..
