Swanmore College is proud to have the support of RSM Tenon, the 7th largest accountancy and business advisory firm in the UK. They currently employ nearly 3000 staff nationally of which approximately 150 are based at Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh.

The link has been forged through the national campaign ‘Visit Ours Schools and Colleges Week’ with the intention of bringing business leaders together with schools to help each side better understand the other’s issues and requirements, which should lead to more effective delivery of the knowledge and skills that employers and citizens need in the future. As stated by Declan Swan, Chief Executive, Institute for Education Business Excellence ‘When schools work well with employers, everyone gains’.

RSM Tenon will have a high profile at the Careers Fair in the summer term as well as offering the opportunity for work experience for Year 10 pupils in June/ July. We look forward to sharing further updates on this partnership with parents in the near future.

Macdonald Botley Park Hotel Golf & Country Club has been linked to us through the Adopt a School program. This prestigious local company has been very willing to establish contact with the school and in the past have given time to offer support during our Year 10 interview event. Other opportunities for pupils to experience the world of work in a wide range of settings including Business management, Hospitality and Sport & Leisure have occurred with work experience placements being offered and visits by Diploma pupils to enhance their understanding. We hope that these opportunites will continue to develop and look forward again to their support in the coming year.
