All French GCSE classes have the
opportunity to attend a French Enrichment Day being held at the Bloomsbury Baptist
Church, London on Wednesday 7 March 2012.
The programme includes a variety of interactive activities
using different media and native French speakers which will consolidate
the work which the pupils have been doing during their GCSE course. It
will be particularly beneficial as they continue their programme of
revision in the run up to the GCSE exams in May for Year 11 and the
controlled assessments for Year 10 in the Summer Term.
We will be leaving Swanmore College
on Wednesday morning, at about 8 am and returning at about 6 pm. Pupils
will need to bring a pen and a packed lunch with them. They will not be
expected to wear college uniform but the normal rules of no excessive
jewellery, make-up or hairstyles and the expectation to be
conservatively dressed will apply.
The cost will be roughly £35 which includes the cost of
the return journey to London
by coach, the fee for the Enrichment Day and a student booklet.
The price may be less if there are sufficient numbers.
If you would like your child to participate please
complete the form below and return to me by Wednesday 8 February 2012
together with a deposit of £20.00. My provisional booking will not be
confirmed until payment has been received by the event organiser so a
quick response would be greatly appreciated. Please note that once
payment has been made to the event organiser, refund of the deposit cannot
be made.
Cheques should be made payable to Swanmore College of
Technology, with your child’s name, Tutor Group and French Enrichment
Day 2012 written on the reverse.
Please be aware that pupils whose known behaviour may
jeopardise the success or safety of the trip will not be considered for
a place.
