The work a pupil will undertake in Art is based on recognising the universal human need for visual communication. Central to this challenge is our commitment to provide an environment in which pupils will develop aesthetic skills and the ability to express themselves artistically.

Pupils are introduced to a variety of media and techniques intended to develop, challenge, enhance and contribute to creative thinking, problem solving and individual expression.

Pupils also will experience the wonders of more modern techniques including photography and ICT.

We seek to engage pupils at all levels of ability and are proud of the inclusive environment that we have created within the Art Area. Our pupils achieve with a sense of purpose and commitment that prepares them well for further study in the Arts.
